Henry Ford’s Bulk Flash Drive Assembly Line

Henry Ford would be proud and possibly a bit baffled to know his invention of assembly-line production is now enabling some of the world’s most sought after technology – custom flash drives. Things are a bit different on the ol’ flash drive line than when the Model T was rolling off the factory floor. But for the most part, especially evident at CFgear, not much has changed. The process of manufacturing custom bulk flash drives involves a very human element from product engineering to production to assembly to testing to delivery. So while the components no doubt are different, the general approach to manufacturing per specialized areas is in full “gear” so to speak.

And like the ever-so-exciting Model T once beaming around towns throughout America as a beautiful “vehicle” for freedom, CFgear’s customized flash drives are giving clients a sense of pride and mobility of their own.

The production methods of the Model T aren’t the only similarity Henry Ford would detect. Obviously, the final products are different, but the attention to detail on the engineering and design of the product share many parallels.

Whether producing bulk flash drives or bulk Model T’s, a focus on simple mechanics, refined functionality, and an ability to conduct isolated as well as end-to-end quality control are essential for arriving at an end product consumers will talk about in a positive light.

The only difference, of course, is that CFgear takes the assembly line mentality and adds a custom element within each “process”. So while each department has a process and the product moves through each, all the way to the final stage of packaging up and shipping out, the need for each process to be ever-so-precisely customized to meet a client’s particular flash drive spec or need is the lifeblood of CFgear’s success!

The modern day terminology for such manufacturing processes is called mass customization. And we’re not sure how Henry Ford would feel about such tweaks to his original master plan. Looking back, there could have been Model T’s tootin’ around the USA, each with their own custom touch, proving to everyone that you really could enjoy the newfound freedom of the open road and enjoy it with just the right custom touch.

Well, wherever the manufacturing world takes us in the coming years, it’s clear that in the world of bulk flash drives, having the expertise to deliver precise custom elements to the process is winning clients from across the globe. From custom preloading, imprinting, laser etching to custom molding for those truly interested in a product all their own, CFgear continues to “drive” into the future with some of the most refined, yet powerful custom bulk flash drive solutions and production processes.

CFgear never set out to travel down the easy road. There’s no joy, no challenge and surely no rewards for our client’s on that path. Since day one, in fact, all eyes have been focused on borrowing proven elements from past-day pioneers and using them to help chart new territories in custom flash drives.
